Colliers was chosen to manage the valuable Centuria Primewest Daily Needs Retail Centres Portfolio—a significant industry commitment.

“The Centuria Metropolitan REIT is pleased to have Colliers International as the exclusive leasing agent for its Daily Needs Retail Portfolio. We believe that Colliers’ national reach and local expertise will be invaluable in securing new tenants and driving value for our unitholders,” said Centuria Metropolitan Group Head of Investor Relations Tim Mitchell.

Primewest is a leading Australian diversified property group with total assets under management of approximately $5 billion. The company has over 25 years of experience developing, owning, and managing high-quality assets across multiple sectors, including office, retail, industrial, healthcare, and residential.

Centuria Capital Group is a diversified financial services company with over $13 billion of funds under management across listed real estate investment trusts (REITs), unlisted and direct property Funds, infrastructure, private equity, and debt investments.

The Portfolio consists of 15 shopping centres in NSW, Queensland, Victoria, and South Australia and has a total Net Leable Area of nearly 120.000m2 with 332 tenants and an average occupancy rate of 96%.

On behalf of Primewest, a Centuria Capital Group Subsidiary, Colliers’ Head of Retail Management Lyn Gray and Gabrielle Briggs, Director of Primewest Portfolio, secured the three-year appointment to manage the portfolio.

“It’s satisfying to build our partnership with Centuria and Primewest on their Daily Needs Retail sites in New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, and South Australia. By generating operational cost savings, effective retailer connections, and identifying trends in performance, we’ve added value to the portfolio,” Gray said.

The historic Peters Ice Cream and Cone Factories, built in 1928 and 1929, give West End Village a heritage feel. Per NLA, this property boasts an annual income and a hectare of picturesque parklands and walkways.

The integration of West Village allows Colliers to expand its horizons into mixed-use entertainment lifestyle destinations, which has been a critical focus for investment funds.

“We are thrilled to have the chance to manage the West Village lifestyle, entertainment, and retail precinct daily. Primewest has entrusted us with this flagship centre, and we feel privileged and honoured.” Briggs added.

Other centres are Belmont, Cameron Park, Moonee Market, West Ryde Marketplace, Port Pirie and Melbourne Square. Out of the 15 shopping centres we own, 10 of them are situated in New South Wales.
